Our very first client in the alternative space was O’Connor & Associates in 1990, a Chicago based alternative investments firm that pioneered quant trading strategies and was eventually purchased by UBS .  The alts business was in its infancy,  and we immersed ourselves into it on a granular level to learn all aspects of the business including Private Credit, Real Estate, Private Equity and Infrastructure investment strategies. UBS acquired O’Connor long ago, but they served as the springboard for our Alternative Investments practice that became the first to cover and recruit in the global private markets space. Since 1990 we have completed hundreds of searches in the US and Europe. Our clients have spanned from the large financial institutions to emerging managers, and everything in between.
